Three Rivers Arts Festival

Chatham County, NC — It’s been a busy autumn, but not too hectic to plan a visit to the Three Rivers Arts Festival on October 19 and 20, 2013.

Three Rivers Arts Festivals

In the southeastern corner of Chatham County (in fact, right on the border) is an area called Three Rivers. The annual Three Rivers Arts Festival features locally made arts and crafts – nothing imported from China or even California!

As the name says, the focus is really on Arts. Over 35 exhibitors will be showing including oil painting, acrylics, photography, jewelry, quilting, woodworking, pottery and Weird Thrift.

If you like florals, you might enjoy Kim Young or Kate Ladd.

More via Chatham Chatlist:

Entrance, parking and music are free. Vendors set up in barn stalls, the riding ring and horse pasture. Most areas are accessible for a wheelchair or walker, though some of it is short grass pasture and the riding ring is loose dirt. Volunteers will take you to feed treats to the horses and chickens if you wish. This is a great opportunity to buy holiday gifts that are all hand made by the artist vendors of the festival (there are no re-sale manufactured items here).

Music & Food

The Festival runs two days (Saturday and Sunday) and includes seven musical acts including Michael Daughtry as well as Dogwood Blossom.

Food trucks will also be out as well as (Chatham County’s own) Bear Creek Brews.

15 Minutes from Pittsboro

Three Rivers Arts Festival is an effortless 9 mile drive down 15-501 about half the way to Sanford.
