Haw River Canoe & Kayak Company:
From guided canoe and kayak trips to courses led by experienced instructors, your skills on the water are more than likely to improve with a lesson or two. Throughout the year, their jam-packed calendar of events will leave you with only one difficult decision – which one should you choose? For those who want the challenge of the stand-up paddleboard, find your balance in a Quick Start Stand-Up Paddleboard class or their Stand-Up Paddleboard Yoga.
If you would rather crawl before you walk… or sit before you stand… you may be interested in a canoe or kayak class. Beginners can find their “footing” in courses such as, Quick Start for Kayak, Introduction to River Canoeing, Introduction to Whitewater Kayaking, Basic River Safety and Introduction to Sea Kayaking. Private kayak or canoe instruction is also available as well as custom trips and courses.
Paddle Brunch:
You read that correctly. Now, you’re probably wondering, what is it and how do I sign up? With a meal prepared from locally-grown food and a relaxing day on the river, your weekend will most definitely be something to brag about. The partnership between the Haw River Canoe & Kayak Company, the Saxapahaw General Store and the Pittsboro Roadhouse are bringing you a 2.5-hour paddle trip on top of a deliciously nutritious brunch.

Paddle Dinner – Brewery Style:
The Eddy Pub, the Carolina Brewery and the Haw River Canoe & Kayak Company are bringing you a tasty meal in the comfort of the Haw River, a bit different than your average dining room. This 2 to 3-hour tour on canoe or kayak will be led by an expert naturalist. Once the trip is done and your boat is docked, enjoy dinner and local North Carolina beers with your new paddling pals.

Women’s Trips:
Mother – Daughter Paddle
It’s never too early to start planning Mother’s Day. The Mother-Daughter Paddle will take place on Sunday, May 13th as well as Sunday, May 23rd. Your mother or daughter can expect to improve your paddling skills or simply have some fun.
Women’s Evening Paddle
This women’s only group is led by a female guide and explores the beauty of the Haw River along with all of the wildlife surrounding it. Your 2.5-hour tour will be followed by a women’s social.
Both tours cost $35 or $30 if you are using your own canoe or kayak.
