A Day at Celebrity Dairy

A Day at Celebrity Dairy

Take a break from the pace of the city and enjoy all the comforts of home at Celebrity Dairy. As a 300-acre dairy in rural Chatham County, you are surrounded by a plethora of homemade products, ranging from pastries, to preserves, to soaps. Their products and services are perfect for a variety of events and occasions for a “staycation” or welcoming guests to the Siler City area.

If resort-style living is your wish, you may be interested in visiting the “Goat Hilton.” With 100 Alpine and Saanen goats to meet, the operation of Celebrity Dairy’s sustainable goat farm is nothing short of impressive.

The Inn:

Not far from Research Triangle Park, submerse yourself in nature under their 250-year-old oak trees, a nighttime bonfire and the elements of the farm itself. Comprised of two main buildings – a Greek revival farmhouse and a 1800s log cabin – North Carolina’s history is closer than you think.

Explore the log hay barn and granary, tobacco barns and the smokehouse, all completed with the taste of eggs from local free-range chickens! Don’t forget about the award-winning goat cheese as well!

The Goats:

Your trip to Celebrity Dairy is not complete without an introduction to Gloria the goat, their “spokes-goat” to be exact. At the Goat Hilton, milk is processed into goat cheese, also known as chèvre. Combined with the region’s season, the skill of their local farmers and the types of goats living at the farm, the cheese is unparalleled. As they put it, their chèvre is “an honest expression of ourselves, and our farm, and our place in time.”

Celebrity Dairy sells and delivers their cheese products locally to farmers’ markets, restaurants and grocery stores. Come experience why their impact on Chatham County’s sustainable agriculture community is so very flavorful!

Meet Gloria on the third Sunday of each month, starting at 1:30 p.m. on May 20th to August 28th!

Sunday Dinner:

On the third Sunday afternoon of every month, starting at 1:30 p.m., dinner is served! No matter the season, Celebrity Dairy goat cheese is a constant on the menu. Join Brit and Fleming Pfann as they open their homes and prepare dinner. Local farms in the area also donate seasonal produce and flowers.

At 1:30 p.m., you and your guests will enjoy a variety of appetizers and, of course, goat cheese. Afterwards, your hosts will treat you to a “cheese chat,” where you will learn the inside scoop on the art of cheese making.

They hope to see you soon!
