‘Tis the Season for Takeout

For those of us who rely on frozen dinners and takeout to make it through the week, holiday home cooking can be a stressor. For those of us that can burn water, opt for an easier recipe. The holidays are not defined by how many hours you spent in the kitchen, but the quality of time spent with loved ones. Leave the cooking to the professionals and order your fully cooked holiday dinner from a restaurant near you!

The Root Cellar

Your one-stop shop for the scratch-made meal of your dreams! Order your entire meal or just the sides from The Root Cellar in Pittsboro. Brunch or dessert? They can handle that too. All orders must be placed by 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19 for pickup on Sunday, December 24 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Using their meals-to-go guide, place your order online!

This year, their offerings include even more choices for all-inclusive meals! Each meal, for four people, includes a choice of oven-roasted turkey, wild mushroom lasagna or rosemary garlic-rubbed prime rib. Choose your three sides and dessert of pumpkin or apple pie. And if it’s dinner for one, you can order an individually packaged meal of roasted turkey, cauliflower gratin, mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing and herb gravy for $15! Make sure to shop their brunch options; you won’t want to miss their gingerbread scones.
