Food: Farm House Restaurant in Chapel Hill

Chapel Hill, NC – A while back, I wrote about the great restaurant scene on West Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. But, sometimes, I don’t feel like a “scene.” Fortunately, Chapel Hill also has The Farm House Restaurant.

Situated in a quiet woodsy area just outside of town, The Farm House Restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat out. If you’re looking for a fantastic steak and lots of southern charm, you need to come check them out. I tell just about everyone I meet that they must see and eat here at least once!

Food

The Farm House Restaurant has served old-fashioned cooking since 1969. Steaks are cooked on an open charcoal grill and brought to the table still sizzling on hot cast iron skillets. They serve three types of steaks, as well as select chicken and seafood entrees, offering something for everyone.

Lamp Light

The atmosphere can be described as rustic and romantic, with kerosene lamps adorning each table. Fireplace seating is popular in the cooler months. The Farm House features a full bar in addition to beer and wine. They also feature multiple banquet rooms for parties of all sizes, perfect for your next family reunion or large gathering.

Go There

The Farm House has definitely got it all! Great food, good prices, and most of all, great atmosphere. Visit them online, then stop by and give them a try. And tell them Julie Roland sent you!
