Costumes, community and live music collide at The Plant in Pittsboro this Halloween. On Saturday, October 31 from 12 – 9 p.m., The Plant (220 Lorax Ln, Pittsboro, NC) hosts its final “Get Down” of the year, a beloved local music series featuring a lineup of talented area musicians playing all day long. Dress up, dance and soak up the spooky energy at this only-in-Chatham-County celebration. It’s the perfect excuse to spend a Halloween Saturday exploring one of Pittsboro’s most unique gathering spaces!

Axes, costumes and one last showdown. Chatham Axes at The Plant in Pittsboro wraps up its Humans vs Zombies saga with a Halloween finale on Saturday, October 31, from 12 – 10 p.m.. Suit up in your best costume, grab an axe and join the last night of the chase before the season ends. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just want to soak up Pittsboro’s Halloween energy, this is one more reason to spend the day at Chatham Axes at The Plant. Get your tickets!

Trick-or-treating gets a fire truck upgrade this Halloween. The Siler City Fire Department is opening its doors on Saturday, October 31, from 4 – 8:30 p.m., for a free community open house. Tour the station, climb aboard the fire trucks, meet the firefighters and pick up some fire safety tips for the whole family. Don’t forget your costume and snap a photo with Sparky the Fire Dog for a chance to win the costume contest, with winning photos posted on the department’s Facebook page.

Pumpkins, games and trunk-or-treating make for a perfect fall afternoon in Chatham County. Join Chatham County Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources on Saturday, October 17, from 2 -5 p.m., at Southwest District Park for a free, family-friendly Trunk or Treat Fall Festival. Enjoy pumpkin carving and painting, Halloween-themed games and crafts, a hay hunt, a photo booth and a food truck, with Trunk or Treat kicking off at 4 p.m.. Open to all ages, and completely free to attend.

Grab the family and head to Huck’s Fall Festival, open every weekend through Saturday, October 31!

One admission price covers it all: a 4.5-acre corn maze (with a handy “escape path” and a farmhand in the fort ready with hints), an old-timey hayride along the historic Old Wagon Trail, games and more. Then pick your pumpkin from traditional jack-o-lanterns, weird and wacky varieties or the kid-sized field trip patch. The hayride is fully accessible, with a wheelchair ramp.

Admission: Adults (12+) $14 | Young ‘uns (3-11), 65+, Military, First Responders & Teachers $12

Plan for 2.5 to 3 hours, and pre-buy tickets online to skip the line with the express entry. Pumpkins, decorations and refreshments are sold separately.
