Boulder Park Coming to Briar Chapel
Chapel Hill, NC – My family loves outdoor living and a natural lifestyle. That’s what makes Briar Chapel one of my favorite Triangle Communities. Now, a new park is set to open, one of 21 planned for this ingenious and ambitious community.
Boulder Park
Boulder Park was named after the massive boulders that were found while grading during the development of the new community. The park will include a fire pit, pergola, bocce ball courts, horseshoe pits, chess/checkers tables, vineyard and community garden.
Briar Chapel has plans to develop up to 21 parks within their community. Once Boulder Park is open, it will be the largest to date.
Other Briar Chapel Parks
Other parks in the Briar Chapel community include:
- Bark Park – For Briar Chapel’s four-legged residents, this fenced dog park features plenty of open running space and a separate area for smaller dogs.
- Founders Park – Founders Park is an open space park that celebrates the evolutionary history of Briar Chapel.
- Briar Patch – Briar Patch is a community garden where both green thumbs and aspiring green thumbs can raise fresh food and mark the passing of the seasons.
Briar Chapel also has 24 miles of trail. While all this was built for residents, much of it is open to the public.
Billed as the largest green community in the Triangle, plan a visit to Briar Chapel. Have a picnic lunch, check out the progress on Boulder Park (opens in April) or marvel at some of the other amenities and the way the buildings, landscaping and natural areas all flow together into an intelligent and livable design.
