You have plenty of cooking in your future. Take a seat, unwind and let one of Chatham County’s famed eateries serve you a home-cooked holiday meal.
Natural Chef Café:
The Central Carolina Community College Culinary Arts Continuing Education and Curriculum program presents the Natural Chef Café, located at 764 West St. in Pittsboro. Support students as they prepare sustainable meals featuring gluten free, vegan and vegetarian dishes. Ingredients are locally sourced from area farms, including Cohen Farms, Lilly Den, Crawford Dairy, Bennett Farming and CCCC’s Organic Agriculture Farm. The state’s only farm to table culinary program, all fees charged for foods are used to restock the pantry and to keep the program running.
Pick up a to-go lunch before they close for the holidays on Tuesday, December 6 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., or while supplies last. The cost per lunch is $8 and the café only accepts cash payments.
The Bradford:
Are we in New Hill or Tuscany? You might not be able to tell the difference! The Bradford at 523 Pea Ridge Road in New Hill presents A Night in Tuscany on Thursday, December 15 from 6-9 p.m. Inspired by the autumn months and the Tuscan countryside, you are invited to explore the venue and enjoy specially curated hors d’oeuvres paired with the chef’s choice of red and white wines. The price for admission is $25 and all ticket sales will directly benefit InterAct of Wake County, a nonprofit dedicated to ending the cycle of domestic and sexual violence in Wake County.
This is an evening of comfort and refuge, welcoming you to sit and stay, embracing the luxurious ambience created by the design vendors of The Bradford, all for a good cause. Get your tickets today!
Celebrity Dairy:
Farm tours and dinners are on the menu for Celebrity Dairy in Siler City! The third Sunday afternoon of each month, have a seat at the Celebrity Dairy table. Sunday, December 18, the table is set! Dinners are $60 per person and reservations can be made by contacting [email protected] or (919)-742-5176. Reservations and special requests are required by December 11. The menu changes depending on the season, but you are guaranteed a taste of Celebrity Dairy goat cheese.
Starting at 1:30 p.m., socialize over appetizers and goat cheese. At 2 p.m., hosts Brit and Fleming Pfann introduce themselves and their experience in cheesemaking. Then, it’s time for the four to five course meal at the common table. Bring your preferred beer or wine with you!
The Travelling Café:
On Sunday, December 11 at 11 a.m., brunch with The Travelling Café, English style! Chef Bruce will take you behind the scenes of perfecting the sausage featured in the one-pan English breakfast dish. In the meantime, you’ll snack on scratch-made English muffins with easy apricot jam and crème fraiche. The grand finale is something kind of sweet, pear praline scones with maple butter!
