Sunrise Paddle – Wake Up on the Water

Start your day with serenity and strength on this early morning Sunrise Paddle. After a brief meet-and-greet, you’ll launch by 6 a.m. for a steady, relaxed paddle – perfect for awakening your body, mind and soul in the calm beauty of nature as the sun rises. You’ll be off the water by 7:30 a.m., just in time to head to work refreshed and recharged.

Experience Level:
Intermediate paddling skills required; participants must be able to paddle continuously at a strong pace for up to one hour.

Paddle Under the Stars with Morehead Planetarium

Join Frog Hollow Outdoors and astronomers from Morehead Planetarium for an unforgettable evening of stargazing from the water. As you paddle across Jordan Lake, expert guides Amy Sayle or Mickey Jo Sorrell will lead you through an engaging mix of celestial science and sky mythology—all under the stars. It’s a floating planetarium experience like no other!

This three-hour adventure is beginner-friendly (basic boat steering recommended) and open to ages 13 and up. All participants must bring a headlamp or flashlight.

Unwind with a peaceful evening paddle as you head out to watch the sun set over the water. Soak in the vibrant colors and calming sounds of dusk before paddling back under the twilight sky. This guided trip offers a relaxing way to experience nature’s transition into night.

All gear is provided (kayak or canoe, paddle, and life vest). Beginners are welcome, though basic boat steering skills are encouraged. Please note children under 8 cannot participate; those under 13 must share a canoe with an adult.

Eno River Paddle & Beer Tasting with Eno River Brewing

Spend your Saturday afternoon paddling the scenic Eno River past Occoneechee Mountain, then unwind with a refreshing beverage at Eno River Brewing! This laid-back, 1.5-hour out-and-back paddle is perfect for enjoying nature and kicking back with your choice of a beer, wine, or non-alcoholic drink in the brewery’s relaxed outdoor or indoor spaces.

Beginners are welcome (basic boat steering skills encouraged). Children under 6 may not participate; kids under 10 must paddle with an adult in a canoe. Advance online registration is required.
