The Pieces of MOSAIC
An exciting announcement makes its way around Chatham County as plans are unveiled for a new development project outside of Pittsboro. Over $180 million has been allotted in the construction of this project, called MOSAIC, bringing the ultimate “entertainment and lifestyle” destination to the area.
We are looking forward to seeing how these 44 acres will transform the lives of Pittsboro’s many residents over the next couple of years. The first portion of the property will be open to visitors next year, while the project is set to be completed in 2023.
The Pieces of MOSAIC:
Mosaic is defined as “composed of a combination of diverse elements.” That is exactly what MOSAIC intends to be. The community will look forward to enjoying a mixed-use space developed by construction company Eco Group, a joint venture of Kirk Bradley of Lee-Moore Capital Company and John Fugo of Montgomery.
Named the “gateway to Chatham Park,” MOSAIC will quite literally serve as Chatham Park’s gateway. MOSAIC will embody the essence of urban life in a suburban environment with its offering of retail, office, residential and entertainment spaces.
Here’s the nitty-gritty. MOSAIC will be the future home of:
- Local and regional shops, grocers and restaurants, including a micro-brewery, formal and casual dining
- Technical, creative and educational office spaces
- A hotel and 164 apartment residences
- Entertainment offerings, including a cinema, live performance theater, black box theater and outdoor stage area
- Communal spaces, walking and biking trails, ponds and wetlands
