The big cats who earned their claim to fame on Netflix’s hit show, “Tiger King,” are now living comfortably at the Carolina Tiger Rescue in Pittsboro. Joining with other animal sanctuaries around the country, the Carolina Tiger Rescue is one organization of many working to provide adequate care for these cats, along with many others. How can you support the well-being of the cats who call Carolina Tiger Rescue home? Sign up for the Tiger Day 5K – Virtual Fun Run, taking place July 22 – 29!
The month of February is all about showing love to those you care about. While the way in which you do so may be different than in previous years, the impact is just as resounding. Connect with your loved ones, even those you may have not met yet, and continue to spread goodness and light through this coming year. Whether it’s encouraging a high school senior or supporting our furry friends at the Carolina Tiger Rescue, we could all use a little extra love!
For many of you who spent countless hours on the couch binge-watching the Netflix documentary Tiger King, the majestic cats most likely piqued your interest. While Chatham County’s Carolina Tiger Rescue has no association with the docuseries, their starring characters are very much the same – the tigers. As a nonprofit, wildlife sanctuary, their mission is rooted in the protection of wild cats in captivity and in the wild. Though you are unlikely to save a tiger in your own neck of the woods, you can help their team in their quest!
